Really nice coaching yesterday

Melanie and I worked through "Recondita armonia" from Tosca yesterday. Great fun, and so nice to work on that piece stylistically. I had'nt had that opportunity in quite a while.

The piece was good before, but went to another level yesterday.

Especially enjoyed watching how she reacted. That was pretty amazing!!

Life can be disappointing

If you want it to be. Or it can be a blessing.

When God gives one a call, it's up to God to define just how the call will be carried out. Not the one who is called. Sometimes the Called gets impatient, and thinks he/she knows better than The One who called them. And HE also may have a different path in mind than the Called.

Then again, HE just might have a different timing in mind. The fun is hitching your ride to Him and seeing where it takes you.

Yesterday, I sang a killer "Donna non vidi mai." So much squillo in the top, it made the recorder shake. And it was EASY. Growth takes time.

Unfortunately, the business is run by people who need to be doing something else with their lives.
